Bailout to fund ACORN

Senator Dodd proposes to take "profits" (at least 20%) from the bailout and give it to ACORN. Obama was a lawyer for ACORN. link

ACORN provides the "shock troops" for the Democratic party and is linked to voter fraud.

"James Terry, Chief Public Advocate, Consumers Rights League:
"ACORN routinely says it will clean up its act. Yet, given its decade-long history of voter fraud, embezzlement, and misuses of taxpayer funds, ACORN's pattern of fraud can no longer be dismissed as a series of 'unfortunate events.' "The problem of voter registration fraud raises serious questions for this committee, and the Consumers Rights League appreciates that the right questions are being asked."

I checked out Acorn on Wiki

"ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, a community organization of low- and moderate-income families that addresses housing, schools, neighborhood safety, health care, job conditions, and other social issues that affect its members. With a membership of over 350,000, ACORN is organized into more than 850 neighborhood chapters in over 100 cities across the United States, as well as in Argentina, Canada, Mexico, and Peru. The organization was born out of the American Civil Rights Movement. ACORN was founded in 1970 by Wade Rathke, George Wiley, and Gary Delgado.[1] Maude Hurd has been National President of ACORN since 1990.

ACORN groups work through direct action, negotiations, and with public officials."

Overall according to the Wikipedia it seems that the good it does far outweighs any corruption.

Where as the corruption of the SEC or the Pentagon or Congress or the FCC etc far outweighs any good those organizations do.
