Global Warming: A New Economy?

U.N. 'Climate Change' Plan Would Likely Shift Trillions to Form New World Economy

"A United Nations document on "climate change" that will be distributed to a major environmental conclave next week envisions a huge reordering of the world economy, likely involving trillions of dollars in wealth transfer, millions of job losses and gains, new taxes, industrial relocations, new tariffs and subsidies, and complicated payments for greenhouse gas abatement schemes and carbon taxes — all under the supervision of the world body."

National Health Care

Things to look forward to:

"HANNITY:I read in The Daily Mail last week that the — the your health system, the NHS, literally has a group of people that decided, government bureaucrats, that they were going to give drugs to women with breast cancer and a certain rare form of stomach cancer. The rationing body is what they call it.

Is it a good idea for the U.S. to invest in nationalized health care?

HANNAN: Now, first of all, it's important that you understand that that's a true story, and it's a typical story. It's not in the newspapers because it's unusual. We have a rationing body that's called, the National Institute for Clinical Excellence. It's known as NICE, N-I-C-E, which, coincidentally, there was an adult novel by C.S. Lewis in the 1940s where the NICE was this kind of Satanic conspiracy.

And in terms of them, align affects, you can sort of see the connection. I mean it's a terrible thing to put anyone in this situation, any bureaucrat in this situation, of having to make those life and death decisions because they are literally life and death decisions.

HANNAN: The worse thing is for you as the recipient of health care because you've got no control over what you get. There's no contractual relationship between you and the suppliers, so, you know, if they treat you today or next week or six weeks from now, where it's too late because your condition has already deteriorated.

The More Things Change....

The left-wing tried to say the Bush was using 9/11 to take away all our freedoms. Since this is not the third term of the Bush administration, I guess they were wrong.

Now the right-wing is saying Obama is using the financial panic to reshape our economic system.

How Card Check Might Work

link

"Union organizers came to the plant two years ago to ask employees to join the United Auto Workers and sign a card -- an effort that was permitted because the company signed a neutrality agreement with the union.

But accusations about the UAW's aggressive campaign to get signatures has ignited fury among plant workers, some of whom claim they were hassled, intimidated and harassed by union organizers until they signed the card.

Some workers allege union organizers followed them to their cars -- and even showed up at their homes demanding a signature.

"We're here in a little town and we're a plant of 50 some people -- you know the last thing you need is to have the union coming to your door saying I want your name," Dana employee Jamie Oliver told FOX News.

Some plant employees claimed the card check process created divisiveness at work, causing some employees to be threatened by coworkers who had wanted the union."

The Union was later decertified in a private vote.

The next Hugo Chavez?

Dick Morris says that Obama wants the recession to continue. He believes that Obama will use the recession as an excuse to demand more spending. That Obama publicly berating the very people he needs to support the bank rescue plan is intentional, so that the bank rescue plans will fail and the government will have to take over banks.

Obama has twice given prime-time news conferences will basically added nothing new. Combined with going on Leno, 60 minutes, etc. he is beginning to look like Chavez, a man who is constantly on state controlled media.
