World Shortest Fairy Tales

Saw on the internet

THE WORLD'S SHORTEST FAIRY TALE
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl "Will you marry me?" The girl said, "NO!" And the guy lived happily ever after and went fishing, hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Ginger wrote her own:

Th World's Shortest Fairy Tale
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl, "Will you marry me?" The girl said, "NO!" And the girl lived happily ever after and had intelligent conversations with her friends instead of having to feign interest in ice fishing and car engines, spent money on lavish, spectacular vacations and none on shotgun shells or fishing bait, got to go home and read after a movie date instead of having to listen to some half-educated ape give his malformed opinion on the plot, had nights of dancing and cocktail parties with nobody to apologize to because there was only cheese and crackers for supper.
The End

Embattled ACORN orders independent investigation

Embattled ACORN orders independent investigation

"An advocacy group under fire after employees were caught on camera appearing to advise a couple posing as a prostitute and pimp to lie about the woman's profession to get housing help said Wednesday it is ordering an independent investigation.
The group, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN, said it is refusing new admissions into its service programs."

Obama and Acorn

Obama and Acorn

I suggest you read the whole article.

"Good Help Is Hard to Find
Fox News Channel's Glenn Beck also aired the San Bernardino Acorn tapes last night, and in introducing them, he made an excellent point:

[America, ask yourself this question. Either ACORN has the most corrupt hiring practices, lowest standards or you just can't find anyone in the inner city that's a decent human being.
Now, I don't believe that one. I don't think ACORN wants to make that case. Really? Well, that's the case you'd better make, ACORN.]

But the previous day, National Public Radio's Frank James had offered precisely that excuse:

[It's also important to keep in mind that ACORN's workers are coming from the same low-income neighborhoods the organization serves, with all that entails--poor schools, high crime and the sorts of social problems that have been documented for decades.
So the flaws conservatives are pointing out about ACORN are not so much problems associated with that organization per se but more about the problems of being poor and minority in urban America.]

More Acorn Offices Caught

ACORN scandal growing, third video made public

"The hits just keep coming for ACORN. Last week two undercover videos surfaced showing ACORN employees giving advice on how to avoid paying taxes and start up a prostitution ring with underage girls illegally smuggled into the U.S. This morning a third video was made public."

"In the video the pair specifically say they wish to open a brothel. They also say in no uncertain terms that Giles began "working" as a prostitute at age 13, and that they will be importing 13 underage girls from El Salvador. They say the girls are under 16 years old. The ACORN employess in the video freely offer advice on how to skirt the law, and don't even blink when the undercover duo mention the ages of the girls they will be employing."

"This morning the third video was made public showing ACORN giving the same advice in their New York City office."

"This scandal comes on the heels of the arrest of 11 ACORN employees on voter registration charges. The group is also under investigation in more than a dozen states."

"ACORN is slated to receive $8.5 billion in stimulus money and was one of the organizations chosen to gather information for the 2010 census. The U.S. Census Bureau broke ties with the activist group last week when the first videos surfaced."
