Media Bias

How much cover do this get in main stream media? How much would it had if Bush had said it?

Does the Bow Matter?

Here is a link to CBS response to Bush holding hands with the Saudi King.

Why does the bow matter?
(1) The White House tried to deny Obama bowed to the King.
(2) Arab media used the picture to say Obama was showing subservience to the King.
(3) Protocol has the President of the United States does not bow to Royalty.
(4) Illustrates bias of media. So far I have not seen anything on NBC, CBS, and ABC nightly news. ABC's Nightline response was to do a viewer poll. If you find a video link please send it to me.

CNN discussion:

On Bush:

On Obama:

From Nightline:

Closing Arguments: Obama Takes a Bow?
April 08, 2009 11:43 PM
President Barack Obama standing among fellow world leaders at the G20.
He sees King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and goes in for the hello.
There is a handshake. Obama bends at the waist. But was it a bow? -- what would be a breach of presidential protocol when greeting royalty.
The White House called it a "lean," pointing out the king is shorter than the president.
So tonight, we ask you: Was it a bow? And do you care?
Tell us what you think.

"By the way, I don't know if you know much about the Austrian school of economic philosophy, but I've been learning about their ideas and think they're right about almost everything. They are sort of neo-classical economists I guess you would say. Probably the two most influential members of this school are Hayek and Mises. They refer to Adam Smith, John Stuart Mill, David Ricardo, David Hume, and other classical liberals frequently, too. I've really enjoyed reading the articles at www.mises.org. You might check it out sometime. Lots of good current events commentary."
