"President Hamid Karzai condemned an acid attack on schoolgirls in the southern city of Kandahar, that he said was carried out by the enemies of education.
Men pulled off the girls' head scarves and threw acid in their faces outside their school Wednesday."

LCD makers fined $585 million for price fixing
link
"Asian LCD makers fined by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) expressed regret over the price-fixing schemes that led to US$585 million in fines."
"The LCD makers fixed prices from a time period between April, 2001 to near the end of 2006, according to the DOJ."
So does this mean we can see further decreases in prices?

Media Bias: Chris Matthews
"CHRIS MATTHEWS: I want to do everything I can to make this thing work … this new presidency work.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Is that your job?
CHRIS MATTHEWS: Yeah that's my job.
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Your job as a journalist is to make this presidency work?
CHRIS MATTHEWS: To make this work successfully, because this country needs a successful presidency more than anything right now.
[...]
CHRIS MATTHEWS: How can you not route for the success of the new president?
JOE SCARBOROUGH: As Americans, Chris Matthews, we're all rooting for the success of Barack Obama … But you just talked about being a journalist and your job as a journalist is not to question motives, and then two seconds later you said your job is to make this presidency a success … I just think that's curious."

Media Bias: Washington Post Admits It
link
"The Post provided a lot of good campaign coverage, but readers have been consistently critical of the lack of probing issues coverage and what they saw as a tilt toward Democrat Barack Obama. My surveys, which ended on Election Day, show that they are right on both counts"
"The op-ed page ran far more laudatory opinion pieces on Obama, 32, than on Sen. John McCain, 13. There were far more negative pieces about McCain, 58, than there were about Obama, 32, and Obama got the editorial board's endorsement. The Post has several conservative columnists, but not all were gung-ho about McCain."

Interesting Side Notes on the Election
People voting for tax cuts.
More people believed that they would benefit more from Obama's tax cuts than McCain. Bush I lost to Clinton because he raised taxes and Clinton promised a middle class tax cut. Since Reagan it appears that the candidate the proposes the most tax cuts wins.
People appear to be voting against military service.
Obama - None, McCain - Vietnam Vet
Bush II - National Guard - Kerry -Vietnam Vet
Bush II - National Guard - Gore - Army Vietnam
Clinton - Dodge Draft - Dole - WWII Vet
