New Polls

Do you believe Obama will be able to push his tax cuts through the Democratic congress? Will the Democrats lower the threshold, ala Clinton, at which higher rates will be paid.

On the total income question, include payroll, income, state and sales taxes.

God only wanted 10%, Joe; how come you start at 11%? How about zero!

If the Dems were smart, they'd run trillion-dollar deficits as far as the eye could see and NOT raise any taxes. Let the next repub prez worry about it. Repubs can't manage money. Bush broke the country. The old Bush broke the economy, and Reagan raided Social Security to fund his deficit spending. Go for broke, what's left to lose?

The repubs have already sent all the best jobs overseas. Neither obama nor the MSM care about paying for anything, and no one cares about deficit spending. Why should Dems suddenly play the grownup when the repubs never did?

Seriously. Let all the illegal Mexicans pay for future deficits. I wish I had the money to move to Europe or Canada. This negro is going to be a Jimmy Carter disaster. I'm sure he's already planning to build statues of himself all over the country for things he will never accomplish.

Well, 8% Soc Sec Tax and 7% sales tax is 15%.

In the bible, the 10% was to support the priesthood and their familes. There was no "public works". And everyone was part of the military.

Republicans have cost our country Trillions upon Trillions in war debt and trillions more in financial corruption and you think we the people are worried about taxing the rich a little bit more???? Someone has to pay for the trillions in debt thanks to Republicans, why not the rich for once??? What happened to Christian values?

The problem with raising taxes is the unintended consequences. Raising taxes stifles growth and job creation. So yes, they should be worried.
