Fannie Mae Supported Jesse Jackson

If you think Republicans controled Fannie Mae:

$660,000 given in grants to Jesse Jackson's The Citizenship Education by Fannie Mae between 1996 and 2004.

The Citizenship Education Fund was established by the Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr., in 1984

It is not clear if that money was put to good use like helping the poor or just into Jesse's pockets...anyway what's your point...the privatization of Fannie and Freddy came from Republicans that is clear and that is the problem.

I believe that both the Congress and the Presidency was controlled by the Democrats then.

"In 1968, to remove the activity of Fannie Mae from the annual balance sheet of the federal budget, it was converted into a private corporation.[5] Fannie Mae ceased to be the guarantor of government-issued mortgages, and that responsibility was transferred to the new Government National Mortgage Association (Ginnie Mae)."
