Global Warming Update: Sea Ice Increasing

"Thanks to a rapid rebound in recent months, global sea ice levels now equal those seen 29 years ago, when the year 1979 also drew to a close. "

"the rate of increase from September onward is the fastest rate of change on record, either upwards or downwards. "

If this were really true and the consensus of the scientific community was that they were wrong on global warming...the mainstream media would be all over it so I doubt that this is true and or important as concerns longterm climate change ....furthermore this could be a result of global dimming which is happening at the same time as global warming and perhaps now taking over global warming...both man made through industrial pollution....what is clear is that we have to stop industrial pollution no matter what the temperatures for health reasons if nothing else... dumping trillions of tons of man made CO2 into the atmosphere is obviously stupid when cleaner alternatives are available. We should nationalize the oil companies and invest all their profits into wind, solar, geothermal, fuel cells, ethanol from non food sources, etc...furthermore like a sick child with the flu, the Earth could be experiencing chills with its fevers so this could be temporary, we just don't know, however pollution is clearly stupid when economic alternatives exist.

Why not nationalize all the companies and make everyone wear, eat and live just the way you want them too? Get rid of all the cars and make everyone walk or ride bikes. And while you are at, give everyone a little piece of land in the country so they can grow their own food. But make sure the government takes 90% of food grown so those "less-fortunate" don't have to work to eat.

I don't think that would work, we should nationalize only things that would be better run by the government, for and by the people like the oil companies, mining companies, the military, the health care system and the federal reserve, the rest is best left in private hands, Google, Microsoft, Apple, First Solar, etc are best left in private hands. We should do what works best for the majority of the people. Food, the media and banking should probably be left in private hands but better regulated for abuse and corruption. Of course this means we need to elect competent government leaders and hold them accountable when they abuse the public trust.
