Interesting Side Notes on the Election

People voting for tax cuts.

More people believed that they would benefit more from Obama's tax cuts than McCain. Bush I lost to Clinton because he raised taxes and Clinton promised a middle class tax cut. Since Reagan it appears that the candidate the proposes the most tax cuts wins.

People appear to be voting against military service.

Obama - None, McCain - Vietnam Vet
Bush II - National Guard - Kerry -Vietnam Vet
Bush II - National Guard - Gore - Army Vietnam
Clinton - Dodge Draft - Dole - WWII Vet
Clinton - Dodge Draft - Bush I - WWII Vet

Interesting Side Note to the side note on the election.

"Thirty-one of forty-two Presidents had military service records; all but one of them (James Buchanan) served as an officer."

Uh, you forgot to add that Bush II didn't show up for the National Guard, instead spending his time campaigning in Alabama and smoking coke (another story the MSM refused to pursue back in 2000). But that's okay. Of with service those listed, they're undistinguished at best, complete failures at worst. Military service is not respected anymore by many because they'll let anyone in, even illegal immigrants and criminals.

Dole was famous for being shot -- after the war ended. Bush II and McCain were good at crashing planes. Obama was busy writing autobiographies, proclaiming his second coming, according to the Gospel of Jeremiah Goddamn-Amerikkka Wright.
