This guy says it better than I ever could: "I love these Repubs that are just waiting in the bushes to ambush.
Listen to them whine.
I'll never forget George W Bush's campaign promise from 2000: " I will not use the military to nation build".
Six years, trillions of dollars and thousands of American lives later, guess what? George Bush is STILL nation building. And John McCain wanted to continue that legacy.
No doubt, campaign promises have ALWAYS been modified or broken. There is also no doubt that Obama will modify or change some of his stance. But he IS limiting the influence that lobbyist will have in his Admin.
As Republicans jump out of the bushes pointing their fingers so vigorously at Obama, I ask: where have you been during the last eight atrocious years?
The whole Cheney/Bush admin has been about cronyism for former corporations and lobbyists and the damage has been extensive to the US. But you don't hear a peep from these folks when the politicians are wearing red, do you?
Must be because they consider themselves to be the "true" Americans."

True, they all break promises, but does that mean we should not hold them accountable.
Bush waited til 9/11 to change his position. Maybe he shouldn't have. But the people re-elected in 2004.
Obama broke his promise about public financing of the campaign, but the people did not hold his responsible for breaking his promise.
